Thank you to all those who made our parade this year such a success!  Please be sure to include the Pitman Independence Day Parade in your voting at bestofgloucestercountynj.com/ while voting for all the great businesses and services Pitman has to offer!

 

Parade registration for the Veteran's Day Parade will open on or about September 14, 2026 and will remain open until Saturday, October 31st.

Please consider contributing to the Pitman Parade Committee.  With the 250th anniversary of the US in 2026, fireworks costs have increased significantly, and we are seeking out more bands to participate in the parade.  Donations and sponsorships of all amounts are welcomed and appreciated and help fund our Independence Day and Santa parades and our Independence Day fireworks.  Contributions can be made payable to the Borough of Pitman and can be  mailed to "Borough of Pitman, 110 S Broadway, Pitman, NJ 08071"  Please note "Parade Committee" on your check to ensure proper handling.

 

 

Show your 250th spirit in our Pitman House Decorating Contest!  Judging will take place until June 27 and will be conducted by the Pitman Parade Committee and through social media for our People's Choice Award! Please check the Borough of Pitman Facebook page for how to vote for the People's Choice Award from the residents that submitted pictures of their homes.

Pitman's Annual Fireworks were a great show as always!

Congratualtions to Mr. Ron Murschell on his selection as the 2026 Pitman Independence Day Parade Grand Marshal!

Children and families that wish to enter their bikes and carriages in the parade are not required to register in advance of July 4th..  All children are required to have an adult with them for the entirety of the parade.  Bike and carriage applicants should plan to arrive at the Church of the Good Shepherd on Highland Terrace at 8:45am to register.  Bike and Carriage judging will take place promptly at 9:15am.

For 2026, the Pitman Independence Day Parade will again include a "quiet zone" for adults and children who are averse to loud noises.  This block will be on North Broadway between Arbutus and Myrtle Avenues.  Parade partcipants are required to refrain from playing any music or making any loud noises while marching through this section of the parade.
